Today, me and Zam went to watch Vinnai Thandi Varuvaya, (Will You Cross The Sky For Me) at Jusco... Kinda persuaded Zam to follow me... Otherwise I'll be watching alone... Hehe... Now let's get into the movie...
I'm not going to blow up the plot of the story here... Just gonna share my point of view of the movie... As the title, it's a romantic movie which I suggest you guys to go watch with your boy/girlfriend... It's well suited for them... There is a twist in the movie, which you may know after you completely watch it... Again, I'm not gonna boil it out... Find out by watching it yourself... Hehe...
Karthik is played by Simbhu and Jessie is played by Trisha... Both of the actors played and showed their characters very well, as if they are real couples... There's a real chemistry with them that makes this as a natural romantic movie... Ganesh is acting as Karthik's friend... He too, well portrayed his character as well... Both of these guys makes the audience laugh especially when they both arrested by police in Kerala...
Now let's talk about music... A.R. Rahman is the music director for this movie... This will be the 1st movie he's working with Gautham, the director of the film and after winning two oscars for Slumdog Millionaire... He composed 7 songs for the movie out of which only 2 are really great to listen... The rest are just so-so only... I was expecting some top-notch songs from him but he disappointed me... Even the background score, at some point of the movie, doesn't seem to fit the story... When you're breaking off with a guy, will you expect to listen some guitar music playing?? Hmm...
On the direction part, Gautham did his best for the film... I can say Vinnai Thandi Varuvaya is one of his best film after Varanam Aayiram... VA gathered some good reviews and lots of awards... VTV is gonna be the next movie for Gautham and will mark his important milestone for his direction career... The picturization of the movie as well the songs are well made... The editing was done as crisp as possible and the stunts are just perfect to the storyline...
Overall, I rate VTV 8/10... 2 marks less because of the background score by ARR... I'll be expecting the next project by Gautham in which he's working on a thriller story... So till then, catch you on another review...
Ulagathule yevolu ponnuge iruthu, naa yan Jessie love panne?
